To ensure the quality of barSWINGona dance workshops we want everyone to pass an audition right before the classes. Be prepared to do that.

In case you selected INVITATIONAL, we need your referee (the professional that can garantee that your level is high enough to be in the Invitational level:

There will be several auditions at various levels. All the we asked you will be used to place you in the appropriate audition. The audition will be done by the teachers. You agree to accept the audition results that will determine the classes you'll take.

Accommodation

If you are from Barcelona area:

if you need accommodation in Barcelona:

Barcelona offers you lots of options depending on what you can afford. You can find all the information in the Accommodation Section
If you cannot afford paying for accommodation, we'll  try to help you with:

  1. Private Accommodation: You'll try to get you a BCN lindy hopper that can host you as part of the barSWINGona EXCHANGE thereby you commit yourself to host him/her if he visits your city.
  2. Free MASS Accommodation: There is a limited space in BALLASWING studio that can accommodate people with no means to afford a paid accommodation (youth hostel).
    People can sleep on the hardwood floor and use the showers but it has not kitchen.
    It is located far from the Festival area (the Poblenou district) but they are connected by metro.

Bear in mind that the spots in both later options are limited and Full Pass holders will receive priority.

Contests

Since barSWINGona is focussing on swing dancing and enjoying the beauty and pleasure of social partner dancing to good live swing music, this year the only competition will be Jack&Jill only (you can find all the information in the Championships Section).

If you are interested in entering it fill up the following form (registration is free but please do register only if you really can commit yourself to competing):

Additional Activities

This edition of the barSWINGona festival offers you a number of additional activities. So far there are 3 additional activities planned (although there might be more coming up). We need to know if you are interested on them. They are free except the diner which price is very reasonable. Enjoy.
