7/Apr barSWINGona'10 is almost FINISHED !
Thanks to all participants of barSWINGona'10 (although it is not finished yet ! stay tuned).

See you at barSWINGona'11 !
The 14th edition of the Barcelona Swing Festival will happen on April 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 & 25, 2011 AND we're already working to prepare the best edition ever with:
  • The best international Lindy hop and Jazz teachers,
  • extended days (we'll start on Wednesday) and extended party schedule,
  • spectacular parties and shows,
  • barSWINGopen championships with a new division and better organization,
  • and you'll have the chance to experience the most beautiful event of Barcelona: the day of Sant Jordi, the patron of Catalonia.

barSWINGona is about to start:
30/Mar Info about TRANSPORT between FESTIVAL venues
Transport to/from the Poliesportiu UPC (workshops venue) :

  • We recommend you take the metro: L3-ZONA UNIVERSITARIA.

Transport to/from the Casino (parties venue) :

  • TO GO: We recommend you take the metro: L4-POBLENOU.

  • TO RETURN:We recommend you take the barSWINGona bus costs 2€ per trip and it will take you downtown and to the most popular accommodation spots. It will depart from the Casino a 2:00 and 2:45.
    On saturday the metro goes all night so that's also an option if you want to stay till the end of the party.

28/Mar The Definitive ACCOMMODATION EXCHANGE list has been posted.

If you requested FREE accommodation, the EXCHANGE is the only option this year and you should check the following list to see if you are in it. If there is any problem check the accommodation section and contact Herminia, the BSF-team in charge of accommodation.

28/Mar Dancers "Get Ready" email has been sent !

Here If you are registered you should have received the BSF-Get Ready email. Please read it carefully. In particular, please check the details of your registration and payment before you come to Barcelona. If something is not correct please write at the registration desk to clear the problem before coming.

barSWINGona'10 is announcing the following news Party news:

  • Warmup Party: If you happen to be in Barcelona on Wednesday we're having a party a the Lindy PAC from 22:30 to 1:30 free for Full Pass and Party pass holders.

  • No Jack&Jill prelims on thrusday party.

14/Mar We Recommed to BUY your PARTY tickets IN ADVANCE !
barSWINGona'10 Party tickets are likely to be sold out before the party starts thereby we recommend to purchase them in advance:
  • BSF'10 Party PASSES:
    • The BSF party pass includes the 4 big parties.
    • They are are sold in advance via PAYPAL or cash at BALLASWING events (like friday night dances at PAC).
    • To buy them please check the PARTIES section.
  • BSF'10 Party "single tickets":
    • Are tickets for one of the big parties.
    • Single tickets are NOT sold in advance via PAYPAL, they are only sold IN ADVANCE BY cash at BALLASWING events (like friday night dances at PAC).

6/Mar EXCHANGE will close in one week.
We're working hard to get hosts to accommodate as many dancers as possible but the number of private accommodation requests is much bigger than the number of host available.

We're doing a emergency HOSTS CALL this week whose deadline is March 15th.
From that date on, dancers that have not been assigned a host will have to find their own accommodation. We may recommend the Youth Hostels that are nice, well located and reasonably priced (check the accommodation section).
2/Mar barSWIGona is SOLD OUT !
barSWINGona'10 passes for WORKSHOPS are practically sold out, but:
  • There are spots for leaders in all levels.
  • Few couples available in levels 2 and 3.
  • The rest of couples registering from now, straight to our "Waiting List" (the first on the list might get it if there are last minute cancellations).

Congratulations if you've got a place to be here !! The biggest Lindy Hop experience in Europe it's on the way ! See you all here next April ...

7/Feb Registration FORM
Since we've received notices of having problems to access the Registration form with certain navigators, here you have a direct access to the REGISTRATION FORM just in case.
5/Feb Registration Process
Because problems concerning balliball studio the registration process is suffering a serious delay.
Please pay attention to the following:
  • All dancers who registered in one of the following categories before February 5 have been accepted and are pre-registered. Please proceed with your deposit payment to complete your registration. The categories are:
    • LINDY HOP leaders or followers with a partner.
    • LINDY HOP leaders without a partner.
    • LINDY HOP followers without a partner and did receive a confirmation email
    • JAZZ & STYLE
  • All LINDY HOP followers that did not receive a confirmation message are now in Waiting list. We'll let them in as soon as the leaders/followers balance allows it.
10/Jan Registration Opens Today.
  • Register soon or regret later.
  • Check out the deadline for the Early bird registration.
  • Check Youtube to see videos from previous editions.
15/9/09 The 2010 barSWINGona is coming ...
This is just a brief shot of what's new in this coming edition:
  1. Dates: at the 13th barSWINGona'10 on April 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 of 2010 !

  3. Divisions: Lindy hop and Jazz & Styling:
    No balboa this year because we're organizing the first All Balboa Barcelona workshop.
  4. Levels: The lindy hop division will have 7 levels !!! This sure will increase the quality of the classes.
  5. barSWINGopen contests will be as hot as usual with amazing cash prizes for the Performance Teams division.
